When does the Dr start checking to see if I'm dilating? 🙄🤔

That's just what my doctor told me. She checked me at 35 weeks and said immediately "well there's his head". I was told that unless I went into preterm labor, she wouldn't try and check me before I was 35 weeks because stimulating the cervix that early can cause early contractions. Have you asked when they are going to start checking?

@kikibee, but if her head is already really low I would think they would start checking

They usually start checking at 35-37 weeks. Any earlier can threaten to irritate the cervix.

Like the Dr told me in the beginning of this month that her head was low I went yesterday for my check up and the Drs like "her head is really freaking low her head is in your pelvis" so I'm like are you going to start checking or what? 😳
