Is it wrong for me to be upset or am I overreacting? I understand our household income is going to decrease but not by a lot. You set the budge for rent at $850. And I found a 3/3 for $850, and then you catch an attitude with me and say no because it's going to put you in a bind and if I want that home I have to go back to work after 3 months.I have $2000 put away for when I go on leave and I will still receive 60% of my work income coming in, so it's not like I won't be able to help pay for rent and the bills that will be coming in. What am I missing for him to be so upset and lash out at me?

Nope, he found it and the guy wanted $900 but had it listed for $825 so I talked the guy down to $850! And $25 can't be a deal breaker!

He's stressed about being sole provider, and taking it out on you. Your savings and disability pay should help him relax though.

And he probably thinks you're just being lazy by taking off work. Some dudes would rather see you working outside the home than inside taking care of family. My husband and I had to establish that I would take a full year off. He didn't like it, but oh well, he came around.
