yesterday at my ultrasound I was speaking with the doctor and he informed me that I do nott have gestational diabetes I am a diabetic. after concussion and loss for words I called my ob office and left a message for my midwife. she just called me back and apologized for the nurse not explain everything well enough to me. I was told that this was a screening for preexisting diabetes before pregnancy and it was caught early. I have to go in once a week to see my midwife for the rest of my pregnancy and have ultrasounds on a regular basis now which is not a bad thing whenever I can see my little bundle of joy the better. I just wish it was explained better when I was told I have diabetes not wait to have my midwife explain things to me because a nurse didn't do her job correctly.
