@mommydess, I want to 😫 I don't mind the extra work.. It's worth it to me especially since this isn't a piercing I would be willing to redo. I just want to be informed on how to keep them clean enough in case there's a certain way to go about it while you're breastfeeding!

No kidding. That was definitely the worst pain I've ever felt. And I have tattoos, stretched ears and have had plenty of other piercings. Wish I could help ya on that one but I don't know either. I just know that since I've had my piercings 4 months ago, I've had some kind of discharge from the holes. Haven't had any signs of infection but that's definitely not something I want my baby to be ingesting. @killxj0y

Mine actually didn't hurt! Either that or I was just soo scared that it wasn't as bad as I thought. But I've had mine for 1 year & 1 month! I still get crusties which they say are normal & they wash off easily in the shower. I just haven't experimented with taking the bar out for a little bc I want to get some Vaseline first for when I put them back in.

use hoops and just leave the balls off. im already leaking and swapped to 14g hoops...so much easier already then javing to remove bars 3x a day to clean up. only 24 weeks tho

Damn! Haha I don't know how in the world it didn't hurt you. I almost didn't let him do the other one 😂 that's about how long I had mine. I had Crusties occasionally but it was after I took the bars out for a while that stuff started coming out of the holes when I squeezed them. Which why I would do that is beyond me but they still do it. Not sure if that's just them trying to heal or what. But yeah definitely use some sort of lubricant getting them back in. I'm sure you could use something like lanolin after the baby is born if you need help getting them in since the first couple of weeks of BF your nipples are so tender and raw. It isn't exactly comfortable taking them in and out like a normal piercing. It's odd. @killxj0y

I took mine out in the hospital when I went into labor ... and it closed in the very center so I couldn't get a barbell back in ... but ... I still leaked outta it, so I'm assuming you'd be able to breastfeed :) (my soon to be ex husband was really against breastfeeding for whatever reason so I didn't even try)

not breastfeeding because of this had mine already redone and its so much worse than the 1st time lol

@nutmeg1028, yeah I mean if it comes down to choosing I really want to say I'll choose breastfeeding but I love my nipple piercings so much! & that's one piercing I wouldn't re-pierce bc I know how much it will probably hurt. Lol
