Pitocin contractions are a lot stronger than labor contractions.

they say the contractions are more stronger I got induced with my first and they started off small amount of pitocin within a while after they started it some more until they got stronger at first I would see on the screen I was getting big contractions and I wouldnt feel anything until afterwards they felt like light cramps then period like cramps after they got more stronger and were coming every 3 minutes at the end I was 3cm dialated and I would get them so strong I wanted to cry they lasted a while and by the time I would take a deep breath the next one was coming I got the epidural right after I was tired of trying to breath and the contractions wouldnt let me since they were so close together, I was in labor for almost 9 hrs pushed 4 times and she was out 8lb 6oz 20 1/2 in. she is now almost 4 yrs old..its painful but worth it once you have your bby in your arms all the pain goes away..good luck hun just breath threw the contractions ☺ @destinyy_brinlee

@jm10, I'm just worried that I'm going to have contractions and they're not going to make my body dilate like it's supposed to (been happening for the past 2 weeks, only at a 2). I can't really breathe now. So maybe it'll be easier when she gets here? I'm just trying to be prepared. Thanks for the answers. @sparnell

i never dilate with my first last time my dr checked me on my last appointment i wasnt dilated so I started dilating in the hospital..no problem @destinyy_brinlee

depends on your pain tolerance. I would say being induced was a good experience. the contractions are the painful part and I wasn't dialated at all. started pictocen at about 9am and had baby at 2:33 pm.
