I had both boys all natural and loved the experience. It was empowering and I loved that I could get up and move around during and after labor.

I loved the epidural and will be getting it again 100% with this baby. I didn't have so much to where I couldn't walk after because I was up about 20 minutes after birth. It's all about your preference though really. I just wanted something to help take most of the pain away from the contractions so I could focus on pushing.

I'm in the same boat. Had an epidural and no issues the first time except I pushed for three hours which I'm trying to avoid this time. I may try nitrous oxide instead.

I had an epi with my son and honestly have no complaints. I was in labor for 12 hours and pushed maybe 15 minutes but I'm going natural with my delivery in July. I did A Lot of research and reading and can't wait to experience birthing natural. I've been practicing hypnobirthing techniques which help with focusing, relaxing, breathing, visualizations, and position affirmations. I don't expect my labor to be completely pain free but our bodies were made to birth babies so I'm going to rely on what I've been studying, my body, and prayer to get me through

I had back labor after getting my epidural I felt amazing and it's been 4 years for me, but if I remember correctly you control how much you actually get. They told me once I could get up and p I would be moved to my own room. I looked at the nurse said what are we waiting on I'm gonna go and was up on my own within 30min to an hour after giving birth

I had epidural with all my babies and I never had any problems... And I'm having epidural with this one also... I have a HIGH pain tolerance but there is only so much pain you can handle...

Do the epidurals hurt going in at all? My back is already messed up from when I worked at subway and caught a box that fell and it messed up my nerves

@kimmib0726, the contractions in my back were too much for me to handle so the needle vs back contractions I will talk the needle again in a heartbeat

I think I'm gonna take it bit by bit and see what my body says. If it's too unbearable then I'll definitely get the epidural but if I can handle the pain then I'll just go med free lol

I didn't get an epidural until I was 9 cm your not supposed to tu the anesthesiologist wasn't available at the time and baby wouldn't come out so they gave it to met at 9 and it was awesome lol before thet pain was too much. I probably could've gone the whole way without it but im.glad I got it even late bc I ended up in a c section and if I would've not had it it would've been emergency c section

i had my baby natural and i had the best experience! i only pushed for 45 minutes and my baby was 8.10oz she was a big baby and got to hold her right after i had her it was the best feeling ever and u forget about all the pain after the baby is out
