pshh pregnant or not i feel like men should always let women have a seat. Thats how its supposed to be! & then if youre visibly pregnant and people dont care to let you stand then they must be cold hearted. Like youre creating a human being, not a disability technically but might as well be

I could barley stand in the shower when I was like 30 weeks pregnant. couldn't imagine standing on a bus filled with people, personally I'd like a seat over standing. but if no one gave one up than fuck everyone. guess I'll sit on the floor.

@nichole_lynn, lol sitting on the floor 😂 but its true tho, not everyone is going to give up their seats, so yea screw them but at the end of the day that's life and you don't always get everything your way. Shittttt, I'd be grateful to stand on the bus than having to walk all the way to work while pregnant.

It's not about it being a 'disability' or who got who pregnant, it's about common courtesy. which people greatly lack these days.

@arijane316, I totally get that but there's nothing nobody can do about that. a pregnant women cannot make someone give up their seat if they don't want to, so you just have to work with what you got, lean against something or wait, people are always getting off. people should be more nice and think about others, but not everyone does.

We were on the tre tram a few weekends ago in Dallas. Not one single person stood up and offered me their seat. I didn't expect it, it would have been nice but I am almost 35 weeks and stand for 12 hours a day at work. My husband did stand behind me though so I didn't fall when the tram stopped. I think each pregnancy is different if a woman is uncomfortable or in pain I think they should be able to sit down... Me and this pregnancy have been best friends so I wouldn't get mad about a seat. I do think it's a courtesy though. I have made many comments to my husband about having a pregnant women/ disabled person seating area on trains because it's a lot to stand and a risk when it stops and goes. But then again I always say they need a pregnant woman bathroom with about 20 stalls in it 😁

@sparnell, there's seating for the disabled, its just people always are sitting in them. here in Chicago, I've never see a pregnant women stand, and when someone that isn't elder or disabled try to sit in the handicap seat, the bus driver always say something

@kelseys, the Dallas tre doesn't have seating like that. Just a sign that says to let disabled sit first

If I was in a position where I had to catch the bus, I would squeeze my pregnant self in that buffer zone that people create so they don't touch. Then everyone will be uncomfortable when someone could have just been courteous.

Nice topic for discussion chivalry and courtesy is not dead but has dwindled and is dying and we just have to teach our little ones to be courteous, yeah pregnancy is not a disability but pregnant women do have their own parking spots here in Michigan and you can get a fat $150 ticket if you park there, ya not pregnant and someone decides to question it and I guess you have to go to court with a proof of pregnancy or a belly 😂😂 but yes I think common courtesy should be extended but it's true it's not and some feel hey I worked a 12 so did you, your pregnant I'm not, who cares, if I can't sit and my feet hurt neither can you😂😂😂😂😂this shouldn't be an argument though
