Well, my daughter will not latch for more than 10 minutes at a time. So, really starting to think…

I use Enfamil Gentlease. It's the only thing that would help my son spitting up constantly

Is she falling asleep and that's why she unlatches? Is she having enough wet and dirty diapers? How often is she latching/eating? Babies can become very efficient at the breast and may not need to stay latched longer than 10 minutes at a time.

@kmally, she will latch on but after 10 minutes she unlatched abd starts crying. I try to help her latch back on but she refuses. So for her diapers, I'm only changing 3-4 wet and poo is 4-5.

Okay so not terribly low for diapers. Have you worked with a lactation consultant at all for latching? My first would pull off and not relatch/cry when he was gassy and I found there were some foods I was eating that were irritating his belly? Just some ideas ❤️

@kmally, I'm still trying to keep her on the boob but a little worried about her weight. She saw her doc a few days ago and she dropped from 6lbs 13oz to 6lbs 4oz. Trying to make it to her next appointment to see if she gained weight or not to decide if I should switch or not

Okay! Best of luck. It's totally normal for baby to lose some weight in the beginning so hopefully next time you go in it's going back up! ❤️

Have you talked to your pediatrician? Maybe they should check for tongue or lip tie.

@kerragannicole, oh man. Having to stop nursing sucks. When I had to stop with my son just before he turned one I used an organic formula from Safeway mixed with my left over breast milk that I had stored and pumped occasionally until my supply dried up. I still offered the breast as much as I could. ( he was biting do it wasn't often)

@carterclaytonb, I had to stop with my son for the same reason as my daughter. Just sucks
