Exactly what they said :) @mommymoni. If you want a female doctor I'd suggest calling and requesting/confirming that you have a female ob. Makes things easier :)

Yeah. Again talk to the nurse. They will be able to help you with that. I know when I was looking for a doctors for being pregnant. I had to call a bunch of places and ask if anyone had female doctors available. Luckily when I transferred they only have females working at my new doctors office

My first one was really awkward but it's over so quick. They basically use this thing I call a duck bill to open up your hoohoo so they can do a swab to check how everything is down there. I'm not sure how to describe it. But you can always ask a nurse to talk you threw it before you get one done. Just tell them your nervous lol. My doctor made jokes during my first one so I would stop freaking out cause I thought it would hurt. It didn't.

all I had done the first time was a lot of blood work and a weigh in. She talked to me about things to do and not to do and that was it. 2nd time was supposed to be a pap smear

They might do a pap depending on when your last one was. My doc checked my cervix (just a two finger check to see how big of a baby your hoohoo can handle) he checked my boobs as well and did a fetal heart beat check. But some doctors are different. Good luck and don't be scared.
