Has anyone been kicked in the stomach by a dog while pregnant? If so was your stomach or uterus…

my dog jumped on my belly and after left a sharp pain. I got nervous but read worse stories of dogs bigger than mine jumping on bellies and the baby being fine. I had sharp pains for the night then next morning went away. if it doesn't go away after a day I'd get it checked out but more than likely you should be okay

I got kicked Saturday night. Went 6 hours of being in pain then woke my husband up. My aunt and him took me to the ER baby was fine but I'm still having pain.

my dog used to, until I accidentally kneed him in the jaw once when he jumped up at me, obviously I'm not suggesting you do that. he also recently landed on my belly when he jumped onto the bed (he's an 80 lb dog so not exactly pleasant). you should be ok. baby is protected by your uterus and the amniotic fluid. unless you start having contractions, just take it easy and rest. try not to use your stomach muscles too much. you can rub your belly in that spot, that's what I did. it should help

My aunts rubbed this all natural gel that she uses for when her back hurts. I've also tried hot packs, warm baths, applying pressure to my stomach hurts why I'm not really enjoying my daughter kicking. When I went to the ER the nurse said that I was having contractions but I couldn't tell the difference from a contraction and the pain at this point. @arijane316

you've gone since being kicked and they sent you home?

yup they sent me home. Didn't do anything but monitor the baby's heart beat and make me pee in a cup. That was it. They wanted to give me a pain medication but I refused so they didn't do anything but send me home.@arijane316,

Well that's bs. but I guess if they were concerned they would have kept you. just take it easy and try not to do too much. take some tylenol

I'm thinking of calling my doctor if it's still the same by tomorrow. I'll try Tylenol see if it helps any. @arijane316

My dog jumps on me all the time, and she MUST lay across my belly lol. When baby has had enough she will kick back or wiggle around. You should be fine, specially if they monitored you and sent you home. Idk how far along you are, but if you have hit 28 weeks and are doung kick counts thats a good way to monitor baby also. Hpe all is well
