Any thoughts on a midwife?

Do it I've had one for all of my 3 previous ones & this one my 4th I love love love love my midwife

I had my first when I was 18 and my mom and doctors made me take pitocin and at the time I didnt know that could hurt the baby. I felt like nothing I said meant anything to the doctors and my doctor didnt come in until I was ready to push. I was young and didnt know what to do. I listened to my mom and felt pressed to do what they told me. Now even tho im still young (22) I want everything to be the way I want for the most part unless an emergency or it is 100% medically necessary @aek91

I had my first at 16 I feel like my midwife listened to me & what I wanted & did what she had to do for me medically. I just love her so even with my last baby she was great

I have a sister inlaw that has had one kid in the hospital and then her second at home with a midwife. She said that it took a little longer at home but, it was so worth it. She says that at home the focus was on what she wanted and how she wanted everything done. but, in the hospital they rushed her and in the end she had to have an emergency C-section because they had her pushing waaaayyyy too soon and she got really swollen.

I am going with a midwife because 1. doctors/hospitals scare the heck out of me. 2. My grandmother is a midwife. and 3. everyone else in family has done it, so why can't I? (all 4 siblings, both parents, & 23 cousins were born at home)

@spoiled4neonpink, I thought about doing that but for some reason can't get over the thought of the baby drowning... I know that nobody would let that happen and it's probably an easier more relaxing way to give birth. I just can't get over that feeling. I guess that I am just crazy. 😉😂

@lilmommy93, everybody has their fears. My thoughts on water birth is that it is in a water sak already so i don't think it would be much different plus from what ive seen online in some videos they pull the baby right out and put him or her right on your chest

Yeah. whenever I think about other people doing it, everything makes perfect sense. but then I think about me doing it and it doesn't seem as logical. lol
