3 days before my son was born my grandfather had open heart surgery. Two days later his lung collapsed and went into a medical coma. By the time my son was born, all he could do was blink. This morning my mom bought a last minute ticket to fly out there in hopes to say goodbye one last time. Last night, he basically left his body and the machines are keeping him alive until my mom gets there to say goodbye. It breaks my heart my son won't get to meet him considering he is his first great grandchild. I'm trying to be strong but everytime I look at my son I think of him and how they'll never get to meet and it's so hard.. so heartbroken..
