no you can buy the 8oz ones just make sure that they have slow nipples because usually the 8oz ones come with fast or medium flow nipples

I got the 4 and 6 oz bottles at first. my daughter didn't eat 4 oz until 4-5 months. she started on 6 oz a few months ago. just make sure the nipples are slow flow. (: most have numbers. the slows are 1

and 8 oz bottles will start with the slow nipples. you have to buy the faster flow ones. I've been through enough brands to know that lol

I know Dr browns are AMAZING. , also Avent and Tommie tippie. those two are normally good if you also breastfeed. my daughter didn't and they made her gag. uhm, the dollar store brand are pretty good too. (: I highly suggest Dr browns tho!

We used Dr Browns early as he got older we used Avent. (Less parts to clean). I bought Timmy Tippy but ended up using them to pump into--he did t like them and leaked.
