Any other mom's to be want to take a labor & delivery/birthing class and their husband's don't? Mine said he thinks they…

I never went. I heard they are pretty dumb . they can benefit , but like I said I never went and I did great(:

I just feel like I could benifit but then again I don't even know what to expect, it's my first baby. I don't have a clue what is going on.

honestly I took one with my first baby & it was really a waste of time

@aek91 & @klanc919 so should I just drop it & trust the hospital staff? My doctor is amazing & he really makes me feel more comfortable and walks me through everything.

I would say just trust your doctor & ask lots of questions

just trust your DR and hospital staff they know what you need to do(: they deliver babies so they know what to do and what you gotta do(: my nurse helped with my breathing technique. and what to do when to push everything.

plus with your first you won't know what's going on either way. that's what your drs and nurses and hospital staff is there, to help you through the birthing process

doesnt the hospital provide it? mine did. dont listen to hubby, the classes are extremely helpful and teach you how to breathe and other things first time moms should know. i am glad i took it before birth and i used the techniques and they helped me tremendously. you should do all you can tp be prepared for birth both mentally and physically. men dont understand child birth. and remember YOU are the one giving birth not the doctor. they just guide you if you want. women have been giving birth alone for years it's a natural instinctive process.

I went to one with my husband. I didn't want to go and my husband did so I went. My insurance paid for it. Taught my husband a lot of things to help me during labor. I really enjoyed the different labor positions and showed my husband points to apply pressure to my body. Felt so good relieved my back pain.

Alright, I think I am just going to trust in the care of the doctors & nurses. I know my husband will be there by my side, I just wanted him to be my coach (more or less) than the nurses. But as some of you said, a women's body gives birth naturally and knows what to do. I don't want to force anything on my husband because I don't want to make him uncomfortable, because I'd never hear the end of it...I trust that it will all go well and we will have a healthy baby girl to hold in our arms.
