its never another woman's choice I don't like when a woman says they are formula feeding because its easier. but if its for a good reason I have no judgment.

agreed, who cares why you formula feed. rather it's easier or you simply don't want to breastfeed. FED IS FED. there should be no judgment regardless.

right, you had a good reason. sorry you didn't get to :( but I'm talking about young girls that get pregnant and just formula feed because they don't want to take on some of the hard things of breastfeeding. definitely not putting you down!

I got bashed hard on here for not breastfeeding my son and it was horrible! I did for two weeks and woke up with no more milk.

what about that single mom who is working and thinks formula is easier so she can provide.

It's nobodies business why a mother chooses to formula feed vs breastfeed. Nor does any mother have to explain themselves to anybody, especially strangers on social media. There are so many different situations and scenarios that play into that choice. It irritates the crap out of me when the breastfeeding activists go on the attack.

Breastfeeding is a big sacrifice that sadly a lot of moms are not willing to make. At 18 with my first I wasn't willing nor did I have the support, at 31 with my second after all my research I realized the importance of it and I made the sacrifice for 6 months exclusively and still nurse on nights and weekend's but because of going back to work on top of my other obligations I got lazy and quit pumping as much. Some ppl misconstrue the fact that advocates of breastfeeding say breast is best but the truth is that it is and though formula is not actually poison it's pretty much equivalent to making a home cooked meal or eating fast food. You still eat you still get a few of the needed nutrients but you are not getting them in their purest form which is always better. Or if you don't like fast food analogy it's like fresh broccli over frozen broccli you still are getting your vegetable serving but with less of the nuturients due to how it has to be packaged and preserved. Breast milk should be first choice but formula is a great alternative if you need one. Nobody knows your story so you shouldn't feel bad if you are secure in why you chose to not breastfeed
