so I plan on painting my son's room navy blue w/ one grey wall. we live with our mil and she says the blue is " too dark " ( she always has something to say to make me feel down about my choices ) what do you guys think?!

I've seen a lot of beautiful rooms where Navy Blue was the main color. Besides the Gray wall should lighten it up a bit if she's really that worried about it.

Oh not to mention that darker colors are easier to fall asleep in.

Dark colors work fine too! Our son's room is dark grey and it's so cozy and warm! I think the colors you chose sound perfect.

I did the opposite! one navy and the rest gray... my landlord loves my choice and I love it too!

I'm doing the opposite gray with one navy blue wall. love those colors. but I think navy as main color would be just fine!
