@norcalmomma, @jaaym_ bleeding didn't bother me(I stopped at two weeks) pp) It was more the pain from my stitches (2nd degree tear so not ready bad but painful regardless) I actually slept on the couch for 2 weeks because it was lower than my bed and I could kinda slide my body toward the edge, also had SO bring me our son most of the time. The doctor will prescribe you pain medication but I am not one who likes taking all that. The key thing for me was to use ice pads when sitting up and walking slowly. But you do want to walk rather than always sitting, it definitely helped me recover faster, after like 2 and a half weeks I could walk just fine. But I'm still sore if I walk for a long time.

Also epson salt baths twice a day for a week or two will feel amazing. I actually felt soooo much better during the first week for about an hour after my soak.

When I had my son I only bleed a lot the first two days then it became less. It might be because I was breastfeeding.

@whitneym, @madilynn16 thank you ladies! Some of what I'm reading is these giant gushes of blood... kinda scary and nerve racking w him being due anytime.

@norcalmomma, only time that happened was first couple days in the hospital when I would stand up and yes as @madilynn16 said you will get small gushes when breastfeeding but it goes away. I actually was told applying heat and getting those gushes will make the bleeding stop faster.

@norcalmomma, My bleeding was very bad. I bled for 7 weeks and if I sat for longer than thirty minutes blood would gush everywhere when I stood up. I ended up going to the hospital because of how much blood I was losing. Everything ended up being okay and no one else i know has experienced that so best wishes to you. and as far as baby crying at night I kept him right next to my bed so it wasn't really a problem. @mom-09-16, thank you for the heads up! I think I'm just worried about walking away from the crying baby to clean up myself... first baby... how did you balance that?

Sometimes you just have to let them cry unfortunately. Once you find their favorite thing, my sons was his swing, it gets easier because they're preoccupied. But in the beginning he just had to cry for a bit which he didn't do much, he was usually pretty good. @norcalmomma
