quick question ladies, I have a friend who is also pregnant and almost due, she wants to know if while in the hospital the nurses offer dna testing or does she have to request it while still there?

thanks @kay.forsha that's what I thought, because I've never never heard them offer it to my sister with both her pregnancies, just making sure...

no problem @milii18 I would make sure to let the nurses and doctors know as soon as you get the hospital because after the baby is born you'll be consumed by baby and paperwork

yup she has to request unless there is a willing signing of voluntary acknowledgement of paternity signed

I'll tell her that, I'm pretty sure i know who's my baby's dad... it's my friend asking me this, she's my friend and all but why mess with 2 people at the same time, I'm just glad she's being mature about it and not just making someone else pay for her mistake

well if any man signs the birth certificate he is saying he is the father but he does have a certain amount of time to get a paternity test requested through the courts.
