My step son does the same! He wants an orange "yeah okay hold on let me peel it" *cries* "put your shoes on we're going to the store" *cries* "finish your pizza" (his favorite food) *cries*

We've started to pay it no attention whatsoever. He's starting to get the hint. If it's because of dropping something or tripping. We started a "shake it off" method and have him literally shake and show him everything's fine
