please noone be rude, is it bad I was so looking forward to a girl and now that I know I'm having a son... I feel so unattached, scared, and don't know the first thing to with raising a little man.

of course he'd be raised like a gentleman and the complete opposite of his father even though he thinks he's a great role model... but everything else.proper toys, clothes, I'm just so nervous.:(

same here, but he will grows on you. by the time you get close to your do date it won't matter.

I felt that way too at first with both of my son's. By the time you see him and hold him you'll have that special bond only a mom and son can have. 💙

it's OK to be nervous, I was freaking out, but now I'm happy with a boy cause I'm the crazy jealous type.

I jus know his father is going to think he's going to do all the parenting because he already has a boy and that's the last thing I want

@wonder.woman07216, I felt the same way. Before I knew what I was having I was talking to my belly as if I knew I was gonna have a girl even with everyone telling me that I was having a boy I would get so mad. But the day I found out I was having a boy it grew on me with matters of days and weeks because no matter the sex a baby is such the greatest blessing ever. I'm already in love with him and I cannot wait to meet him.

Also that feeling of disappointment will fade away trust me.

its not bout loving him ladies. its knowing how different raising a boy is from a girl but not knowing the specifics.
Kimberly ·
It's not too different than raising a girl. Hardest part is trying to pretend to care about trucks and super heros and trying to potty train them without having the same parts. Everything else is basically standard parenting that would apply just the same if you had a girl.

I was the same when I found out about my little boy. I planned for the dresses, the bows, pink, etc. Little girls are fun in the aspect that we can relate to them because we were little girls, and we understand how girls think because well we all thought the same thoughts when we were girls. We are comfortable with what we know. but preparing for little boys is awesome too. It'll grow on you, you're going to raise a good person, boy or girl and that's what matters :) I read a great book on strong mothers raising strong sons if you're interested. It gave me some reassurance and it helped me with getting used to changing my thought process from raising a daughter to raising a son~

i was the same way! i have a 6 year old girl and i was so sure that this pregnancy was going to be a boy! but when the ultrasound tech said it was a girl, i was silent. my heart sank. you will get over it and become more excited as he grows and it gets closer to meeting him. then you wont be able to imagine your life without him. i cant wait to meet my little girl!

you dont need to worry about the parenting aspect right now. you have plenty of time to prepare for that. and i have always heard boys are easier! my bf is freaking out about having his first daughter because he knows how men are and he has to worry about boys when she gets older. lol raising a boy will be fine and when the time comes where you might questions your parenting skills im sure you will have friends and family that can lend advice.

I am having my second son and a little bummed bc I wanted only 2 kids and I need a baby girl or my life will feel incomplete but at the same time I am thankful bc having my first son I am forever grateful for, he's my best friend and mommy's boy, If me and daddy ever fight he takes mommy's side, he always has my back and treats me very well bc boys will always cling to their moms. he has always been well behaved and easy to raise. it all comes naturally. boys are soooo much easier then girls, trust me you will instantly fall in love and think wow I was silly for having those thoughts, you will see its meant to be this way and you will never doubt it again
