Has anybody asked their doctor to take them off work ? Like do i just say i want to go on maternity…

I asked mine when they normally did and they told me 36 weeks. I had an appt at 34 weeks and my next wasn't til after the 36 week mark so I asked at 34 weeks for my paperwork to give my boss.

I think it's a state mandated thing at 36 weeks. That's what the disability website says if I read it right.

I just stopped going lol but I have a really family oriented workplace. He took me off the schedule at 38 weeks and told me I can just come in and work whenever I want for as long as I want or if I don't want to work at all, that I don't have to.

I think it's mandatory to allow leave at 36 weeks, like @hapmama523 said.
