most tattoo artists will refuse to give a tattoo to a pregnant woman.

tattoo can harm you and the baby since that's basically opening your skin it can get infected extremely easy since most of your immune system the baby uses. (tattoo artist wife) as for hair die as long as you are in a well vented area its ok. I still try to use the more organic dies just to be extra safe and they are nicer to your hair in general.

okay thanks I'm wanting a new look for my hair but wasn't sure if it's okay cause I never done it and didn't really ask.. and I was just curious about the tattoo just cause I seen alot people getting them and didn't know it was safe for the baby

@katt18, thanks so much! I was just curious about the tattoo I don't have a problem waiting but I have seen pregnant women around here where I live get them so I was just curious if it was safe or not and about the dye thanks for the advice just needing a new look lol

no tattoos they can harm the baby but your hair u should be cool just don't do it too much

@supermommy31082, I barely dye my hair the last time I did it was 5 years ago I'm not a big fan on dying it just when I'm ready for a new mommy look I just get tired of my hair :)

No problem I see pregnant moms get them than bash the artist when they get a staff infection. It's by no means the fault of the artist just due to the immune system changes in our bodies thats why a lot of them refuse to tattoo a woman who is pregnant and or brestfeeding. More for their own credibility. My husband always tells them why he won't and lets them have $10-30 off if they come back after they aren't. More should i think but *shrugs sholders*.

isn't a pregnant women's blood thinner while pregnant too? but maybe I just heard that one somewhere lol @katt18

@faker_baker419, it's a possibility for some women yes but it's mostly just because the higher risk of information.

I've dyed my hair 3x since I've been pregnant and I'm 31weeks. My Dr always compliments it an has never said it was good or bad, they say to be careful getting it on the skin an try to have windows open or be outside so you don't smell it to much😊

I dyed my hair the whole time I was pregnant same w this time around.
