Ladies I have a few questions, ones baby related and one isn't.
1. Okay so my one year old has started night waking again and I'm trying to retrain her to put herself to sleep by waiting 15 minutes to respond to her crying in the middle of the night. But my mother in law that I live with keeps going in as soon as she hears my daughter and bringing her to me which is creating more issues because my daughter thinks it's time to get up and play after that. So I told my mother in law what I'm doing and she said "that's all fine and great but you're not doing that at my expense. I need my sleep so I'll keep bringing her to you if you're not going to get her" so any Suggestions on what I should do?
2. So I'm engaged, I'm getting married October 2017. And my mom is basically taking over my wedding and idk what to do. Every time I say "I don't like that" or "I want this" my mom responses "well are you paying for it? No I am. So we're doing this" and I've tried talking to her, but I continue to get to same responses. She's even been setting up appointments for us and going to them without us and deciding if she likes it or not. My fiancé and I are getting upset that she's taking over our wedding and planning it for us, but I don't know what to do. Any suggestions?

1. Idk if you live with them then that's a tough situation when you live with people.
2. Call off the wedding until you have for you to do it on your own

hopefully this doesn't come across the wrong way, but if she's going to be like that then maybe she doesn't need to be paying for your wedding. Tell her that you don't care that she's paying for it, it's not her wedding. perhaps tell her to forget it and try and find another way to pay for it. She can't be allowed to use that as a reason to take over.

1. you may be under someone else's roof, but at the end of the day, that is still your child and your MIL needs to have some restraint with her desire to get your daughter and bringing her to you. She's never going to learn to go back to sleep on her own if she knows someone will always come to get her. you both are loosing sleep either way. maybe she should get some earplugs? She needs to let you try out your method for a little while, if it doesn't work then you'll try another method, but in the mean time she needs to just do her best and ignore or drown out the baby crying.
2. tell your mother you appreciate that she's helping with the wedding, but she needs to remember this is YOUR wedding not HERS! You need to have input regardless of her financial contribution. Tell her if she doesn't let you make decisions on your own wedding, then your going to have to hold off on it or tell her she doesn't need to pay for the whole thing. it seems because she's paying she feels entitled to take control. it's your special day, you want it your way, they way YOU dreamed and imagined. you need to lay your foot down on the situation some how.

She needs to respect your wishes with your daughter. If you have to, try staying in her room with her until she falls asleep. And for the wedding thing , I would cancel until you can do it your way. Cause if she isn't doings things your way then it's not for you, she's planning a wedding for her
