I have had these pains off and on all night... my belly tightens and I have menstrual cramping and over the last hour it has moved into my upper legs. I know it's just Braxton hicks but everytime I look it up it says Braxton hicks aren't supposed to really be painful. third pregnancy and I still don't know what the hell is going on... everyday I have a good hour or so of thinking to myself I'm going into labor early...this is getting redundant.. I'm only 32 weeks I can only imagine what's going to happen right at the end

my braxton hicks were SUPER painful my last trimester and my baby was born 39 weeks...
idk, I was told they get bad later in the pregnancy.. if not then whoever told me lied lol

@countyourblessings05, I've told my dr. about them and he just says yeah that's normal but at this point it's going to be really hard to decipher between when to go to the hospital as I get closer to delivery... I just don't want to be confused... this feels like the early part of labor I felt with my other two but it's my third so I'm guessing it's just my body "practicing" I just don't want to give birth in a car on the side of the road

sounds like you might have prodromal labor..I think I have it too, basically you are in early labor off and on for days to weeks..they are real, productive contractions that don't go into active labor and end up stopping and only dilate/efface you over time slowly.

@amandaroper012287, that makes more sense than anything I've heard or read! especially since this is baby 3. and tmi but whenever I sit on the toilet to use the restroom I feel baby like settle in real low but when I stand up the pressure eases up...sooo weird

yeah the baby dropping is what triggered it for me so that's probably it.
