So i have a tax question.
My work gave me both a w-4 and a w-2. My w-2 says nothing was taken out for state or federal, but social security and medicare was taken out. Does this mean i owe? i think i accidentally marked the wrong thing when i first started working there. I am really freaking out. help!

check ur check stub and see if taxes were taken out of each check, if not that could be why, not all jobs take taxes out and if they don't theres nothing to return, that happen to me at one of my old jobs

Yes. If taxes weren't taken out for a whole year you are going to owe but only for 6 months. You can go exempt for 6 months only with federal

If I were you I would go online and use tax act. It is what I use every year. You can go through all of the steps with out sending it in. This way you can see if you owe or not. There are a few factors relating to whether or not you will owe. You can qualify for a refund of you have other children. These would be child tax credit and earned income credit. Also this program is free
