21 is the recommended age for starting paps if you weren't sexually active before that age.
urine test was negative like I thought. I have to go in some time before ten to do a blood test and they're gonna check my hormone levels. he said if they're messed up he's going to put me on birth control...
My first appointment they drew blood to confirm pregnancy and hcg numbers and that was it. They called me a few days later and set up my Second appointment which was all the family history, vitamins and vitals and just talking about everything. They set up a ultrasound appointment for the next week which put me at 9 weeks but the ultrasound put me at 7 weeks. I had a pap done 5 months before so my ob just wanted a copy of those results. But I have been getting paps since I was 16 because of cysts on my ovaries. Now it's every 2 years as long you don't have any problems that came back on the results. I'm 27 and have never heard 25. I know they say if you aren't sexually active to start at the age of 18 to get paps.
I think it depends on the doctor. My first appointment they did blood work, a general physical, and exam. I didn't need a Pap smear because I'm still young. But my friend is also pregnant and her first appointment was just paperwork and blood work. She went to a bigger practice though.
Yes, I was 10 weeks and 5 days. She did a urine sample and blood work as well
my gyno told me I shouldn't have to get a pap till like 25 or something(I remember thinking it should be younger than what they told me) so would I not have to get one since I'm still under that age? or is it just something they do to every pregnant woman
I'm requesting a blood sample if they don't already do it. I was supposed to start two weeks ago today but now today I'm bleeding but not very heavy
my first one they did to do std tests
