Has anyone gone to antenatal groups for new mummies and daddies? is it really helpful?x

i wouldnt even entertain it at all.

i went to a few in my first regnancy and they were useless nothi like they say labour is ect.

i experienced a whole new level of pain xxx

@chezz, what about the other stuff like preparing and talking and showing about breastfeeding? xx

they just tell you what to pack, look on the laptop about borth. and they tell you about breastfeeding but they arnt useful. but its your decision on what you want to do if yo want to attend so you can decied on whats best. xx

I didn't go :) didn't think it was worth it really :) I watched what I wanted to know on youtube :) there's lots of helpful videos xD As for preparing? Do you mean labour/birth? Don't think you can ever really be prepared to be honest :) I just went with the flow when I was in labour and of course my birth plan didn't go to plan :( But just as well. As I lost 3 litres of blood..good job I was in Theatre and not in the Birth Centre :) For breast feeding there's lots of informational stuff on youtube..there's leaflets you can get :) also while at hospital...a breast feeding specialist should come round to see you...that is what happened in my hospital...if not. You can get a midwife to show you how to latch the baby on correctly and different positions etc :) xx

I went most importantly. I met other parents due the same time as me, we now have a whatsapp group and help each other out with questions. It's only a couple of evenings so nothing to loose, they explain different pain relief options changing/feeding baby the basics basically
