Can you already have water and a piece of gum before getting my 3 hour glucose test? An empty stomach makes me nauseous and I don't want the nasty drink to come back up only to redo it :/.

If you fail the fasting part you have to redo it, they gave me a slip that mentioned no gum after midnight, only water. But the stuff really isn't that bad the one I had just tasted like a flat orange drink loaded with too much sugar. But it was hard keeping it down.

My doctor said I could eat something just not something really sugary. Eat a couple crackers too, if you need to. That's what he suggested.
