Maybe a little TMI: but I've had my nipples pierced for about three years before I got pregnant and I took them out months before I ever knew I was and now the piercing holes are leaking a clear liquid? Any other pierced mamas experience this and should I be worried? My right nip the holes are leaking but the left one only the nipple is leaking? Help? Normal? Not normal? Panic? No panic?!

mine were too. I took mine out in the first trimester to make sure they would heal up. now that I have had baby and have nursed/pumped, I express milk from the piercing holes. I wouldn't be too concerned, but you can always ask your doctor to make sure!

It happened to me as well just make sure your keeping them clean. It's just because your body is preparing for breastfeeding which is causing pressure that you wouldn't normally have. I've even has puss looking stuff come out a little, freaked me out but it's normal

It's normal, the piercing went through a milk ducts that's all. I would just warn you that when you breast feed the piercing holes let milk flow faster so your baby might choke a little bit. I had the exact same problem.

@jelizabeth, it's ok really. The baby learns how to control the flow.
