Did any of you other ladies have a problem with Johnson and Johnson body wash and lotion drying…

Yes the Shea butter baby wash gave my baby ezcema

yeap I had to use dove soap and Palmer's cocoa butter lotion

I'm thinking she has skin like my family everyone but me has to use special soap because of sensitive skin . She has little bumps on her skin mostly behind her ears @marleiismama

It may not be the lotion newborns peel a lot. You should expect her skin to be dry she been floating in fluid for a while now lol

If your daughter is a week old like your profile says you shouldn't be washing or lotioning them yet. She is peeling all the vernix and stuff that was on her for so long in the womb. That's completely Norma. You should wait a few weeks to lotion her. The skin has to peel first

I was thinking of trying out the honest brand baby soaps and lotions but sometimes that organic stuff is just as drying

FYI aveeno is the same as Johnsons. I love the smell of the bedtime lotion but it's not so good for babies. We use honest company and we love all their stuff. We get the body wash at Costco for 14.99 and it comes with two huge bottles. One bottle has lasted almost 3 months

baby skin peels for weeks. dont put lotion til atleast a month old. but my lil girl is 6 weeks and is still peeling but around her face. its a process but u gotta be patient.

it might not be the soap its normal for a newborn to peel. my son did and that's what his Dr told me to keep lotioning him and he should be fine. I still use Johnson and Johnson and never had a problem after his peeling stage

that's just normal for new born they all flake after a few days to a few weeks

Yah my doc told me not to put anything on the skin. We didn't bathe him fully because of him being a newborn then his circumcision but after the peeling we bathed normally and I used coconut oil on his skin and made his body wash. Because he had an excema outbreak that went away but when I discovered honest company I was so happy.

Her umbilical cord fell off like 3-4days ago but she still gets sponge baths until her belly button is healed some more and I only bathe her every other day I read it's not good to give newborns bathes every day @princevince

Yah that's good. I gave sponge baths too. They don't really get dirty. I would bathe him every 2 days as well

She just gets kinda smelly her formula gathers in her neck rolls😆 and I don't know why but formula stinks so much !!!!

I hate formula. I wish I could have breast fed but it didn't happen.

Same here I wasn't producing anything until 4 days after we came home !
