Does the hospital give you diapers while you're there and some to take home?

some do

Some and I took what was left over when we were discharged as well as I asked if I could get some extra formula since I was formula feeding

Mine did. They provided newborn and size 1. And they let me take anything that was left over because they dispose them anyway after you leave.
