So had an increase in blood loss and started loosing some clots (not the size of golf balls) and my youth worker and midwife both have said its because I'm overdoing it and I need to stop and slow down, feel so awful on my partner having to do more than his fair share just because I can't :(

That's a bit ott if you ask me. my blood loss increased on days I done more. It's gravity lol. This time I had a toddler as well as a newborn and spent a lot of time in the first 3 weeks walking to and from the hospital....you have to get on with normal life. my husband was hospitalised for a week when my baby was 2 weeks old. I had to do everything and single mums do too...that's just life unfortunately. I'm not criticising you here...midwives etc just annoy me 😂

Exactly what I said, they can't just expect me to sit around when I have a newborn but that's exactly what they're telling me to do , it's stupid @tuftyturtle

I'm a single mom and I had a c-section. I had to do it all myself. My mom tried to pitch in the first week but unlike a partner who can be on paternity, my mom was back working once I came home from hospital. So while it's fine for midwives to say "don't overdo it", sometimes it's not that easy. My midwife told me the same thing, not due to excessive blood loss but because I'd lost a fair amount of blood during the surgery, was quite anaemic afterwards and on the blood thinning injections. X

I lost a lot too and needed 2 blood transfusions and Also anemic , my partner is barely sleeping because even he won't let me help and he will tell me to rest, if I try to help he refuses to let me , they tell you to listen to your body and I feel perfectly fine doing what I'm doing yet I keep getting moaned at and told I'm doing too much when in reality I feel like I'm not doing enough :/ @nashkay x

@sophiegreen, it's a rough road I think, the first 6 weeks. After that it's fine. Just hang in there x

I think the main reason I'm being told to rest is because I also had a csection but it started to bleed , hasn't opened up but my midwife said that happens when you've irritated the area by walking too much , can't wait to be fully healed @nashkay , like you said it's just the first six weeks so not much longer x
