what's everyone's deal with getting mani/pedi's and doing their hair and make up for labor? you're having a child, not going to a fashion show. I for one, don't give a shit what I look like when I have my little girl because a) I don't care what I look like anyway, b) I'm just gonna be a mess after pushing her out, c) the doctors don't give a shit what we look like, they've seen some pretty awful looking people in their lifetimes, and d) in 20 years, your child is NOT going to remember what you looked like when they came out of your vagina. stop being so materialistic and concerned about your looks. no one cares.

Pictures will be taken? Theres just something about being girly that makes me feel good and im sure other ladies agree its not materialistic in my opinion

@ximesmom, even so, I'd rather look like crap in pictures and focus on my child than worry about my looks. like I said, you're having a baby, who cares what you look like

Well yea the baby should be over everything but if you can why not make it as comfortable to your liking and if that means getting pampered before why not? Everyone has different views

I understand both views. Some moms are already scared and just want to feel a little better weather it's makeup or support from others.

I want to look decent looking for it all, doesn't mean I won't be focused on my child any less. I think women that want to look good for labor is ok and the ones that don't care either is ok too.

if I have time I'll probably put on some makeup and fix my hair a little but if I don't have time I'm okay with not having myself all ready. you just gave birth I don't think anyone is going to be rude because you don't look pretty. it depends on the person. I say do you.

I don't see why it matters. everyone has their own opinions and wants for their labor and birth experience. And a lot of people hire a birth photographer to photograph the labor, delivery, and after birth. So they want to look somewhat decent. I personally don't care about makeup so long as I have nice eyebrows 😂😂 but to each their own! The only people I know that will be in the room are my mother in law, mom, and boyfriend and they've all seen me look like shit anyway
