My doctor told me not to follow a 9 month calendar. I never realized I actually carried my son for 10 months. 40 weeks 5 days.. I would have never thought about this until she said it. She said a lot of people go based off 9 months when we carry longer.. She broke it down like this...
1-4 weeks = 1 month
5-8 weeks = 2 month
9-12 weeks = 3 month
13-16 weeks = 4 month
17-20 weeks = 5 month
21-24 weeks = 6 month
25-28 weeks = 7 month
29-32 weeks = 8 month
33-36 weeks = 9 month
37-40 weeks = 10 month
HAS ANYONE ELSE DOC SAID THIS?
Yeah you right. But its damn confusing isnt? I know it was for me when I was pregnant, luke which one is right one lol
@hermommy, ikr lol 36 weeks is 9 months where as 10 months is 40.. they should just go based of an actual calendar
@drmurphy13, @mommyoftwo1 , @their.bomb.ass.mom , @maxs_mommy80 I'm going just go off what doc said she explained exactly what you guys said, idc about the months term lol.. 3, 6, 8, 9 month consist of 5 weeks while 1, 2, 4, 5, 7 consist of 4 weeks which is confusing so whatever suites her suites me.. in the end baby is coming out sooner or later..
what's really cool is the last number of that "month is when you actually turn that month:)
Thats pregnancy months. Where actual month are more than 4weeks. But usually they count by pregnancy months.
We go by 40 weeks but most doctors don't count the first month of pregnancy as you "aren't actually pregnant yet." so it just depends on the doctor. I never say 10 months though. I go by 9 months.
yes lol I can be a little slow not all the time but with confusing things so my doctor made it simple for me i actually had lost my chart she gave me when I reset my pgone so I was glad to see yours said the same thing@mommyofdmm
