Well, no shopping for me today as I originally thought. My dad came over to visit me for my birthday and he brought me a card but there was nothing in it. I feel bad for expecting there to be money in it. I am grateful for his visit but I have to admit that I was looking forward to being able to go and buy a few things for baby Genevieve. Oh well, I enjoyed talking to my dad for a little while anyway and I really shouldn't have gotten my hopes up because it's kinda rude to expect things like that in the first place.

I heard that. My dad always gives me money when he can. He knows we are having a hard time so I figure, maybe money is tight for him too. I'm not upset about not getting money but I did expect it and there was a sudden sense of letdown right when I opened the card lol. shame on me for that. it's my fault for expecting anything in the first place, lol. lesson learned. 😉
