Has every pregnant woman got to have the glucose test?

I think majority of us is if there is diabetes in our family history or a high bmi or just other risk factors but by looks of it everyone on here has to have one so I'm thinking it's a normal thing for every mother to be to have one

I didn't have it and I have a high BMI. But my midwife took my bloods every appointment to check my sugar levels x

I no she's taken blood on Friday from me so I'll ask her about it then xx

Yeah I only had it done cause my dad has type 2 diabetes I think if it's in your family history xx

oh right, I found out people in my family do have diabetes so I'll have to tell my midwife on Friday xx

I had it with my 1st but didn't have it with current pregnancy :/ xx

it depends on your risk. if you have it in your immediate family and you have a high bmi then you will likely have it checked. my mum has type 2 diabetes and i am overweight but mine came back negative. if its positive, they just keep a closer eye on you @leighamy123 xx

I didn't have one with any of my 3 pregnancies xx

I had to have one because my brother is a type 1 diabetic :) I'm sure it's only for those who have diabetes present in their immediate family. I didn't realise type 2 got tested for too xxx
