3 hr glucose test tomoro morning 😔😩😭😳 I'm so scared and have a sore throat so can't imagine drinking…

@jennaboo, it's really not that bad. I just drank it in a couple swallows and got it over with. No food 12 hrs before but you can drink water

Just say no. Don't go. That stuff is torture. Tell your care provider that you'll track your own blood sugar levels for a few days.

@datinajoey really I could say no? I think this whole 3 hr shit torure too preg women. My doctor said since I failed the 1 hr by a lot that she wants me to do the 3 hr ASAP cuz she knows Ima fail😔

You're absolutely allowed to say no. It's your body. You can say whatever the hell you want. I passed the 1 hour (after having to take it 3 times due to vomiting twice) with my first. I failed the 1 hour with my 2nd and ended up passing out during the 3 hour because my pancreas was working overtime. I passed with flying colors. Go figure. lol With #3 I refused all glucose testing. I bought a blood glucose meter and test strips at Kroger for $15 and tested myself for a week. Once when I woke up and an hour after each meal. Finger picks aren't fun, but anything is better than Glucosa. *gag* I'm 20w today with #4 and have checked my sugar levels maybe 2 or 3 times.

Or ask for an A1C. No nasty sugar shit required.

@jennaboo @datinajoey I'm taking mine for the fouth time Thursday but I don't want my doctor to refuse me if I say no. it really is torture. I puked both tests! having to take it again is the death of me.

Ask about alternatives, @rachelirene Say, "I am not comfortable for this, this, and this reason. I would prefer this or this as options." If your OB is an ass, change providers. I switched FOUR times with my 3rd pregnancy. Since I still haven't found one I like yet this time, I'm 20w with no provider. I'd rather go unassisted than be disrespected.

I've switched to this one and have only had one appointment and she's really nice and I haven't technically failed, I just couldn't complete because I threw up the 3 hour and over by 10 on the one hour.... seems legit. but we'll see. untreated gd is bad and I will try one more time tmfor my son.... otherwise I'm asking for other options. they just need to know what to do if I fail and have high blood sugar or if I'm fine. @datinajoey
