I'm always on the fence about vaccines.. but tonight when my toddlers cheeks started swelling and turning red.. I instantly got panicked about MMR. Even though she's at the age where she would be fine.. no mother ever wants to see her child suffer from something she could've prevented but on the flip in a mom group I'm in a girl posted about her friends baby dieing after his 4mo vaccines he got on Saturday, losing your baby on a day like today.. it makes the holiday a dreadful bookmark..
it's truly a scary thing having children in this world :( my heart is heavy tonight.

Some people cannot metabolize the chemicals in vaccines. They do contain aluminum and some peoples systems can handle it, but others can't. its too risky especially because vaccines don't work. I have a friend who's never had pertussis until after she got the pertussis vaccine and there is an entire website with people posting about how a vaccine failed. I'm not vaccinating my baby. if I do decide to it'll be after he's 2 years old. Japan just increased their minimum vaccination age to 2 years of age and their infant mortality dropped. The Us has one of the highest infant mortality rates among developed nations and we also push the most vaccines. I don't trust them they aren't for everyone.

You need to consider the environment your child is living in and what he/she will be exposed to. Some doctors may support you waiting to vaccinate and others will push it. I think vaccines should definitely be done but as far as what age can depend on each situation.

@allijessee @gab044 while I agree with both things said, I don't debate the choices of parents for their children. I think naturally immunity helps and I also think vaccines help but it's scary that no trials have been done to prove their safety and I really don't like the fact that aborted fetus cells are in more than half the normally given vaccines to our children.

@gypsy.soul2, I agree its the parents choice. I've been talking to more moms recently and I noticed more and more women are starting to delay them until at least after 6months when babies are able to produce antibodies.

rightfully so. our daughter has had all her vaccines bc my MIL does not have an immunity system due to cancer treatments that depleted her and when she gets sick it's really bad and I didn't wanna risk our little getting any kind of sickness like that. she hasn't had her MMR and will not until she's 3 due to the blood brain barrier not being completely closed yet and I think if there are children born with immunity deficiencies than I should do what's right and protect that child bc they can't..
we did do a delayed schedule (: it had worked great for us. I may not allow them to give our newborn the hep b shot til later though depending on his weight. @gab044

Uhh it's so hard, my son I feel was affected by vaccines and I will always feel guilt over it. No side is flawless but I don't wanna vaccinate my new addition but then again I'd never forgive myself if he caught something preventable and died from it .... It's such a hard decision !

I feel you! when her cheeks got red last night I freaked and all I could think of was "what if it's measles.. I could've prevented this.." I know everyone has their research from both sides but it's just so scary entering the unknown bc it truly is unknown :( @foreveryoung247
