Couple questions for you mommies! First off my son will be 4 months tomorrow the 15th. We have swaddled him at bed time since he was born, its like his sign that its bed time, but I want to get out of that mostly because his arms are out of it by morning anyway, any idea how to transition this? every time I lay him down without it he wakes up. Second is it normal for him to still take a lot of naps? They are short ones but a lot of them. Last if he falls asleep in my arms for a nap i I usually put him in his swing and he stays sleeping thats where he always takes naps, any idea how to get him to take them in his crib? I tried today and he woke right up, hes eventually going to be to big for his swing! Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

I've found that the easiest way to transition is to just immerse into it and create new habits. If he wakes up, he will likely cry and that's ok, let him cry for 5, give love, and try again. It takes my guys a few tries before they learn what's up, but they catch on fast as long as your ears and your heartstrings can tough it out. Good luck! ❤️

All I started doing was tucking her blanket under my daughter with her arms out and as time went on she learned not to be swaddled and just just sleep with a blanket over her. But she started breaking thru her swaddle since she was 2 months and that's when we tried that method.

@erinflaherty818, @wes.nation Thanks ladies! I am going to try those starting with naps when my oldest isnt home, he has severe ADHD and ODD and the crying really really gets to him, so if I can try during the day hopefully it wont be so hard at night. I get so afraid because once my oldest is asleep I dont want him waking up or he wont fall back to sleep!

@xoxo512070, I can totally relate to the severe ADHD omg! Our oldest was 12 when our baby-making resumed lol and that crying...I thought our older one would never come out of his room! 😂😂😂

@erinflaherty818, yeah it gets to be overwhelming for them! So I never know what to do when it comes to the baby and him!

try using a zipadizip! my little guy has been using it since he was a month and a half old because he hates having his arms trapped but loves being swaddled. if you go to www.sleepingbaby.com they have them there and use the code shareme to get a few bucks off. there kinda exspencive but so so worth it! exspecually if he is a tummy sleeper. this pic was a while ago but only one I have showing what it looks like. he loves it! culms him down right away.

@rodcay93, well thats a new idea but my little guys problem is he needs his arms tucked in to sleep, he is fully swaddled at bed time, if his arms are out he will wake up immediately when you lay him down!
