breastfeeding mamas, do you have any suggestions as to how to get my daughter to take a bottle when I'm gone? there is a possibility my husband and I are going out tonight and the last time we left her she refused the bottle (he probably won't tell me until last minute as that's what he likes to do)... I have the Avent bottles where the nipple mimics mine, haven't used them yet tho had been using the medela bottle that came with my pump... any suggestions?? I don't want her to refuse to eat for 8 hours (there abouts) while we are gone (seems like a long time but we are going to watch a band possibly with my sisters in law and their spouses, no I will not be drinking)

my son had the same problem .. I used the tommy tippee bottles to switch him over and now he takes any bottle without a problem

so what if you were drinkin... I drink and breastfeed... obviously not at the same time I never do after I drink... but my son also takes formula as well... if your worried about drinkin and breastfeeding go to le Leche league website and read up about it... I love their website and it's help out a bunch

it's not the issue of drinking lol its the issue of her not taking a bottle while I'm gone, but I may have a drink tonight as a treat to myself it's been over a year lol @laynedaniel

Joovy Boob bottle makes a bottle and a nipple (nube) that is specifically made for baby to go from breast to bottle and back and forth with no confusion or issues.

Lol @sarahdrew I know the feeling... I've drank twice since I had my son in november and it's not what it used to be lol... in fact I do t even like it much anymore
