ok, so I've been having what I assume are bh.. so here's my question.. when u are having real ones, do u contract really low in the bottom of ur belly too, down in the groin/public area, or is it just the mid part and up (like I've been having)? I never had contractions with my first baby, not even bh.. so this whole bh thing is throwing me off. and I've also never had menstrual cramps to compare that to (I know, sounds crazy, but I havent!)

I'm a FTM and still learning everything as well. I haven't even been able to tell if I'm having a bh or if it's just pregnancy pains from something else. But my dr has explained to me that bh are contractions just not labor contractions. That's why women confuse them for each other. They should feel around the same spot (low) from my understanding. The way to tell the difference is from the consistency. Bh will ease with a warm bath of a change in position or even a heating bad. Bh also come and go. They don't really have set intervals between the time they happen. Real contractions however will not be eased by anything. A bath or anything will not help them. They are also constant. They will have pretty set intervals between and get closer and closer together over time and closer to labor. I hope that helps:)
