How many of you had an ultrasound at 15 weeks to determine gender that was accurate? My hubby desperately wants to be there for the gender reveal, but he's leaving the day I hit 16 weeks & won't be back until 25 weeks. He wants to do the elective gender scan out of pocket at 15 weeks & I'm worried it's not going to be accurate. Baby hasn't cooperated for any ultrasounds lately... he/she just kicks & remains in a profile position no matter what the tech does or how long we try to get him/her to adjust.
how early can you do the blood test to find out the gender? i didnt even know you could find out through a blood test..im so anxious to find out what we are having this time.. my son is almost 7 and in 2009 when he was born there wasnt a blood test for gender and i didnt find out until i was 16 weeks with him..this time im way to anxious i dont want to wait anymore..lol
its a hit and miss with babies my son didnt want to show us his goodies what do ever luckly i did the blood work test to find out gender so found out way early i didnt see anything till he was born modest child of mine not so much now anyways
Have you tried the panorama test. It's the test that determines gender by blood
I went to a 3D ultrasound place, I was 15 weeks 2 days & it was accurate. They told me if they were wrong to come back and get another scan
Mine wasn't cooperating at first either so I drank something cold and the tech had me get up and wiggle my belly around a bit she finally moved the reason she had me come back two weeks later was because the cord was in the way and she thought it was a boy at first but then we got the cord to move and she was positive it was a girl so we went back to check it's worth a shot especially if your able to try again just make sure to have something cold and or sugary
@mrscruz0530, I had 2 scans at 12 weeks (1 emergency in the ER & 1 scheduled NT) & the baby was so ridiculously stubborn. One of the techs managed to get a good angle for his/her face & the hands immediately went up to block it. The place we're getting the scan at will bring you back within 2 weeks if the baby won't cooperate but I have no faith that this baby is ever going to cooperate haha.
I found out at 13 weeks by ultrasound we paid to find out and even went back two weeks later to find out in glad we did because she was being stubborn at my anatomy scan and wouldn't let us see (we've seen since then that she is in fact still a girl lol ) some of the places here will do it at 12 weeks.
I asked my OB about the blood test a few days ago & she said there's absolutely no way my insurance would cover it because I'm under 35 & don't have a family history of any of the major genetic conditions.
