This may be selfish of me ... But we put the crib together , his daughter (19mo) is here for the night and she kept climbing on it and he wanted to put her in it and I said no!!!
To me this is something special my first ... But his first with the crib stuff and buying stuff ... And seeing the progress ... It means a lot to me I explained it to him and he understands but a little selfish of me ...

I'd be the same way. In fact, my mother is like that. I wanted to use the baby clippers we have for my daughter, on my God son and she said no, those are Ryleigh's lol. It's normal!

i just tried to talk to my fiancee about this because if i get a crib right now my mom will want to put my nephew in it for his naps when hes here. he told me im a little ridiculous because "our childs gonna have to learn to share so im gonna have to learn to share. and its not a sacred thing" no its not its something special to me and i refuse to let someone elses child sleep in MY daughters crib. im not going to be buying it for my nephew. im going to be buying for my child. im now really upset with him and pissed off that he would be ok with my nephew using something that we got for our first (and possibly only) child
