Mama's does anyone know when I should go on maternity leave?

It depends on you but most go on the month they are due or wait until it's getting closer

I'm working a week untill my due date. Unless my baby decides to come early :) my job gives 12 weeks maternity leave and I want to spend most of it with my baby!

I worked up until I went into labor. I was actually at work when I started having contractions and half way through my shift walked across the hall to the L&D unit toget checked out and was admitted right then and didn't come home until I had my baby! Not how I expected it to go but at least I get the full 6 weeks with my baby :)

I get 12 weeks paid maternity leave so I think I'll go when I'm 35 weeks. I'm a teacher so that means I'll be home with my son from may until September. so 4 months with my baby boy before returning to teaching.

@nikki93, I only get 6 weeks paid maternity leave. I can take another 6 weeks but it would be unpaid and we can't afford that so I'll be going back to work after the 6 weeks. Only 4 weeks left :(
