started taking evening primrose oil by mouth at 34 weeks and vaginally at 37 weeks. went to appt today, 38+5 and I am not dialated or effaced at all. it doesn't work :(
I'm scared of taking to much meds of any kind, so you might be right. I'd still think that taking the amount I did would at least somewhat soften it. haha

@brittzue2, how many times a day did you take? Vaginally and orally?

I took 1000 orally 3 times a day and 1000 vaginally once a day

My friend said she took 3 every couple hours and none vaginally, she was due after me and already had her baby 😭

EVPO comes in different strengths. I had the highest dose they make. from what I've read anymore then 4000 MG daily is not healthy

Hers was 1000 but she's done this with all her kids so idk @brittzue2
