So my husband and I are about to buy a second home. I check my credit report just to make sure there are no surprises and guess what? There is. Someone in Texas used my information for electric service. I am at the police station now. I text my cousin/best friend what's going on. She calls and says I am a detective. So she works with this girl who filed her taxes with the same lady we both filed with last year. The lady told her friend that her and her husband couldn't both claim head of household, so she could use her home address because she doesn't file taxes. My cousin noticed the address I sent her matched. So the tax lady is the one using my information?! It's crazy because most of my family went to her again this year and I'm sure she thought since I didn't know the other young lady I wouldn't find out. She was probably thinking I bought a house and brand new car last year so I wouldn't be checking my credit any time soon. I hope they put her under the jail! We googled her name and she has addressed all over the United States smh I'm just wondering how many other people she has sold or used their personal information... I'm happy my cousin has near perfect recall
