May have acid reflux. I'd talk to his doctor about it. There's medicine that helps with that. But for now I'd try rice cereal

Before medicine my doctor recommended to keep the baby at an incline for 20-30 min after the feeding and of course burping. It could be reflux or over eating/eating to quick. Just try that first and of course manage how much baby is intaking 😊 @camdensmamma

@valerie_jean, he's only 3 weeks old so he's not quite ready for cereal but I have been told to mix a little in his bottle to help keep it down but I'm not sure how much. He's been on Enfamil Gentle ease and we switched him to that from newborn. @bfelixreyes I do try to keep him inclined but he spits up when he burps. The pediatrician said he could take 4oz and we've been easing him into it because we can tell he wants to eat it but he just can't keep it all down.

try to keep him on an incline and keep him there for 20 mins after. burp in threw out feeding not just at end. and if hes not crying after spitting up theres not much to worry about. feed him more if he wants more but dont worry. babys spit up alot. but if it hurts him then get checked out as soon as possible. ge could have gerd and ut can really do a number on babies if not taken care of

@missyowl92, woah! My baby is 2.5 weeks and my pediatrician told me 3oz was way too much for there stomach to hold at one feeding. It may just be too much. Remember baby's use sucking for comfort and will keep eating for the most part. Try lowering baby's intake and feed more frequent with the 20-30 min incline after and see if that helps!

@tigerlilly, I do keep him inclined and his bassinet is even an incline sleeper. I burp him after every ounce and sometimes every half ounce. Sometimes it upsets him but I don't think it's painful I just don't think he likes how it feels and tastes coming back up.

id say get it checked out. it usually doesnt bug babies to spit up. and u dont want it to turn into something

@bfelixreyes, he was a bigger baby when he was born (ended up having to have a c-section) and the pediatrician said he could take 4oz because he was jaundice at birth too. We feed him every 3 hours because that's when he gets hungry and he doesn't always eat the full bottle, we just let him eat until he doesn't want anymore.

Yeah even with those factors, I would just lower intake a bit and feed like every 2 hours. As long as baby poos and pees stay normal you're fine. Try it out for a day maybe 2.5-3oz every 2 hours 🍼 ? Sometimes it could be that simple and even though doctors say one thing; baby can need something entirely different
