Does anyone know if it's safe to get a tattoo while breastfeeding?

@aloves it actually it fine to get a tattoo while breastfeeding. the concern is infection, an proper sterilization by the artist. As long as you take proper care of the tattoo you'll be fine. Also the artist needs to be a reputable one that you can trust is sterile and clean. Every artist is different though, so while one is ok with it, a anothet may not feel comfortable tattooing you if you are breastfeeding. I finished my sleeve while I was breastfeeding and all was ok! So it's up to you, and the artist as well.

and thanks @anap1012 I guess I'll have to talk to the artist I choose and my doctor cause if it's safe I want it done but if not then I won't
ikr @theinkedbarbie I got mine right before I found out I am pregnant and like the last 3 weeks all I complain to my hubby about is I want a new tattoo
It depends on the tattoo artist. Mine is ok with it and his shop is pretty reputable @peanuts1mom
@anap1012, I hope you're right cause I had planned to get one for my birthday the end of June and for me and my husband's anniversary the end of july
I've read that you have to wait until you're at least 6 weeks pp. people say no because if the tattoo gets infected it'll get transferred to your breast milk but it doesn't. I will be getting one soon and I'm ebf.
