I had the same problem when I got my GED at 16.

before the age of 18 you're still considered a minor. minors in many business are seen as liabilities. many places have equipment that legally can not be operated by anyone under the age of 18. they don't care what he has or hasn't done. they see it as his last employers own stupidity. it's to cover their own butts which is pretty smart of them.

@lbedell95, yeah and within those two months if he gets hurt.. guess what. . whoever owns that company is screwed. their lives are ruined and so are all the lives of all the other employers because they run the risk of being shut down. age isn't just a number when it comes to work. it's the law. a kid that's a minor isn't meant to be working jobs with that kind of stipulation anyway. they don't see a kid under the age of 18 as someone who needs a job of that sort. its only 2 months and the it won't matter. yes it sucks but it could be worse.
