I am officially tired of peeing in a cup 😩 #DoctorsAppointment

I'm lucky if I even get it in the cup at this point! lol

I spilt mine the other day..you'd think by now I'd have it down..nope!

Lol I don't mind except that I have to awkwardly maneuver it around to get the pee in the cup.

Lol yup it takes a lot of concentration, I'm always out of breath trying to get it in the cup @rebcamdot @kristandley

I miss now because my belly is in the way! I swearing im getting the cup then I look in there and think "SHIT!" Lol

how many times have you had to pee in one? I'm 25 weeks and have been to several apt. and the only time they made me draw blood and pee was the very first one at 12 weeks

@jessica0830 huh that's crazy I wonder why they haven't done mine? I go for glucose in a couple weeks so I'm sure they will do something then

@rebcamdot they always ask me if I have to pee before the apt.and most of the time I do have to but they never ask me to pee in the cup except the first time.

@hailholla1412, Interesting. At my office as soon as you check in they send you back to the bathroom to do your "routine" every time

@rebcamdot hmm maybe they just wait to do it at the end here. it's a really nice and prefessional women's center with like 8 different midwives who are all so nice. I couldn't imagine them not doing it for lack of professionalism.

@hailholla1412, I have no idea why they aren't having you do it, but I wouldn't worry about it. :)

I think @jessica0830 is right about checking for proteins though, last week my bp was higher than usual so she double checked the sample for proteins @hailholla1412

@rebcamdot @jessica0830 oh okay! I gotcha! they do check my weight and blood pressure everytime so that kind of makes sense

at my office you get checked in, your weight and then you pee. then even have it setup so if you have to pee while waiting for your appt you can go back and write your name on your cup and pee so they have it when you get called back

They usually make me go every visit. To check for protein @hailholla1412

@hailholla1412, in Michigan and some other states, it's a law and it's not because they're testing for problems or protein.!They're testing for drugs. @jessica0830 @rebcamdot @jlove24

@peanutsmom1006, yes in VA they did that! They tested for proteins and let me know they also were testing for drugs. Here in NJ they don't test for drugs BUT they make you do a second HIV test. It's crazy how each state is different when it comes to prenatal care.

@jessica0830, it is crazy and what's even crazier is in Michigan, we don't have to tell you we're testing for drugs. I always tell the patients tho. They have a right to know!

@peanutsmom1006, yeah because I mean what difference does it make they're there now. What they gonna do? Run out? Lol

@peanutsmom1006 oh okay!!! that makes sense. I live in VA and they haven't done it but the first time I actually used to smoke before I got pregnant and quit when I found out so I was just up front and honest with them and they still haven't collected my pee but that one time. weird lol
